In
an effort to keep the pace of play at a normal level and because the
main purpose of CKSMGA is to enjoy golf in a relaxed atmosphere, the
Board of Directors have developed what we are calling "Relaxed Rules of Play" to promote the above goals.

I am dismayed that the rumor of "putts in the leather" is true. I am sure the obvious concerns were considered so those alone should have dissuaded the board. Besides those, the essence of the game is getting the ball into the hole, with putting consisting 50% of the game, to eliminate or drastically curtail the effort is an affront to the game and opens our competition up to even more "rule bending". While Tuesday's pace of play is suspect, and we all know who they are even by some of the board members it isn't that bad. If it is an issue on Monday's as you suggested in your epistle, then implement the "in the leather" rule for that group alone. Finally, several golfer's, existing member's and some prospective new one's are strongly considering either not playing or not joining because of this. RECONSIDER, AND ELIMINATE, THIS REPUGNANT TO ALL TRUE GOLFER'S RULE.
